Happy New Year from HKM Dogs!

 All three of us hope you have had a lovely Christmas break and are ready for 2024.

We have only been going a short while and the support we have been shown by locals, family and friends has been overwhelming and immensely appreciated. In a short time we managed to successfully fill all of our Flyball spaces, which seems to have been a huge, huge hit with everyone. Some cracking photos from Tom have been sent out to a few of our clients. There are still a few spaces left for the January course, starting on the 6th, so if you haven’t booked already, you still have time!

Not to mention that Hoopers has also received a very warm welcome. If you’re not sure what Hoopers is all about, have a look at the Hoopers section on the HKM Dog Sports page. It’s so much fun and we love teaching it!

We would also like to say a massive thank you to all those that supported our Christmas Pawty and made the day such a success and lots of fun. We received such positive feedback that we will be looking torun another one in 2024, but on a bigger and more exciting scale. We will of course keep you posted.

So much has been going on behind the scenes to make sure that your experience with us is as smooth and as fun as it could be. Karen has been beavering away (rather obsessively I must add), but has achieved some amazing results with our new website, the booking system and generally keeping all the admin and the bits no one else sees, going. All credit must go to her for achieving so much in such a short space of time. Fingers crossed all has been going smoothly, for you all, on that front so far.

Not only has she managed all of the above, she has successfully set up our new toy and book library, which goes into play today. It is something we thoroughly recommend you look at if you wish to further your canine knowledge, in almost all areas. Karen is more than happy to help guide you on the best way to get the most use out of all of the toys that are provided and help you meet your dogs’ needs on every level.

Not only that, we have been working away trying to find some of the best trainers to give a bit of variety to our programme. We have so much coming up in the next few months. Already set up and ready to book is the Winter Wellness Series with Carrie Anne Selwyn and also Hoopers courses and 121’s which she is offering on a Monday.

We are just waiting on dates for the police sniffer dog workshop, which will be run by Mark. Mark kindly judged at our Christmas party and trains many dogs for the higher end police work. This should be great fun to watch.

Lesley Woods will be coming on board to take over some agility from Holly and the beginners agility foundation class will be up for grabs in the next few days. We cannot wait to get the agility up and running again.
